happen? We start in Sudan where the rapid support forces have been accused of a

massacre on Tuesday in a village in Gazir estate south of the capital Khartoum.

Footage on social media shows people standing in front of dozens of bodies covered in shrouds.

The RSF has been fighting the Sudanese army since a civil war launched by rival generals began in April 2023.

Mohanad Hashem has been monitoring developments.

What we know is that the RF surrounded the village and was asking the villagers to hand over their

properties and money and so forth.

Then subsequently the villagers raised the alarm. The army tried to carry an air raid against

RSF positions around the village. They dispersed following that air raid, the IRS have returned again to the village and attacked it twice.

The initial reports were putting the death toll at around 80.

Now it is confirmed that the death toll is upwards of 150.

And just before coming on air, the governor of Darfur Minnie Minawi

has tweeted a video to that effect.
