Today we are airing a very special conversation I was able to have recently between myself and British Palestinian author Isabella Hamad.

I am so excited I was able to sit down with Isabella.

I happened across her book recognizing The Stranger on Palestine and Narrative while I was in Columbus for a book event. I was in a bookstore, $2.00

Radio, and they made a point of having a table highlighting books about Gaza and Palestinian authors,

Marmoud Darwish, you know, other writers we've talked about on the podcast. And I saw

this book and I was like, huh, and it's so interesting because it is a lecture, Isabella,

delivered at Columbia University, you know, honoring Edward Said. And then October 7th was,

I believe, like nine days later. Nine days after this lecture.

And the lecture on its own is so brilliant and it has so much clarity because, of course,

so many of the issues that are going on are not new, right?

You know, we're almost like basically a century into this history.

But as Isabella has said, and she discusses in the interview,

Wow. Yeah. So it's just, wow. That is so cosmic and wild. And I am so glad that we're

airing this conversation right now because I think a lot of people and a lot of Americans
