It all started in 1994 when management consultant Charlie Biggin quit his job as a management consultant, bought a camper van with his wife and

decided to travel to India. There he was captivated by the taste, colours, textures and aromas of the cuisine and it inspired

him to set up a food business. By 1996 he's done just that. He went knocking on doors and

managed to find some upmarket London food shops willing to stock some of the

dishes he was perfecting in his home.

Fast forward 25 years and Charlie Biggums is now stocked in Waitros, Sainsbury's, Tesco's, you name it.

I can't believe it was that long ago. I know, time flies when you're having fun.

Time flies when you're bloody busy launching and running a business. Was there a career before that?

And have you always worked for food business how did you get

into food and how did the business come about? So before I started I used to advise

people how to build art galleries museums museums and theaters.

Was that your first career?

Yes, I was officially a management consultant

and then I kind of specialized in this little niche
