As we get started today, let me ask you, when is the last time you found yourself stumbling

in the dark? I mean, literally. So maybe you got up in the middle of the night and you're

going to the bathroom or whatever and you stumble over the dog or you step on the Legos,

that kind of thing. Keep that image in mind as we dig into our passage today because

Jesus is going to use that kind of imagery to help us understand some powerful things.

in to John chapter 12 verses 44 through 46. Jesus cried out and said, whoever believes

in me believes not in me, but in him who sent me and whoever sees me sees him who sent

me. I have come into the world as light so that whoever believes in me may not remain

in darkness. So friends, think back to that illustration. I asked you to consider at the

beginning that time when you're stumbling through the darkness, what do we do just as

soon as possible when we're in that circumstance? We flip on the light switch. We want to be

able to see where we're going so that we don't step on those Legos again. So we don't

stub our toe on the corner of the bed frame, you know, those kinds of things. We want to

see so that we're able to navigate our bedroom or wherever it is effectively. Now Jesus is
