The reason we go through Revelation is not pragmatic, that is to say, you don't have to

study the book of Revelation.

Suppose you could live all your life and never study it, and in fact a lot of Christians

They say, well, you can't understand what's written there, and besides, it's long ago

and far away or its future or whatever.

They don't think that it has any relevancy to Christian life, and I think it has a lot of

relevancy because it shows us how we fit into God's plan. In other words, God has a long,

overall plan, and we will be a big part of this

plan. Mentally, I think we should be preparing for being part of this whole scenario.

In chapter 11, and we started this last week, we start with a measurement of the temple. Now this is the Tribulation Temple.

I'm going to take it from the top again in Chapter 11.

There is some rather cryptic language here.

There was given to me a reed like unto a rod.

And we talked about the length of the reed last week, about 10 and a half feet

long. That would be six cubits, which is the common unit of measure called a reed in Ezekiel 40 through 48.

And that is a standard measurement. But it's called a reed like a rod.

And it has been pointed out by many other people that this reed like a rod, speaks of judgment.
