Continuing our study in the words of Jesus, which we began actually 19 weeks ago,

time has flown by.

Looking at the words of Jesus, and of course you can spend the rest of your life

studying the words of Jesus.

We've kind of raced through in 19 parts.

Now he's talking about end-time prophecy, and want to read Luke 2129 and following. Luke's

version of the fig tree parable and he spake to them parable, behold the fig tree and all the

trees when they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer

is now nigh at hand. And so likewise ye, when you see these things come to pass, know ye that the

kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily, I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away till all be

fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away, and take heed

to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, that is, eating,

which by the way is a big hobby these days, nothing against eating, got to eat, and drunkenness

and cares of this life, so that that day come upon you

unawares, for as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole

earth, watch ye therefore and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these

things that shall come to pass and to stand before the son of man.
