This week I wanted to look at what the New Testament says about this period.

And last week we edged into this in the 25th verse of Romans 11, beginning there,

where Paul talks about a mystery.

The mystery there, and I want to repeat this, and I want you to really think about it,

because the mystery there

is the mystery of the two houses of the redeemed. The house of Israel, the house of David,

and the church, the body of Christ. There are two specific callings in the Bible.

And Paul talks about this in so many different ways, starting in verse 25, for I would not

brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, that is the mystery of the two houses.

And I have to stop and just editorially insert a note here, and that is that most of the world is ignorant of this mystery,

of the two houses, of the redeemed, the body of Christ and the house of David.

It's the mystery of the two houses, if you will.

I would not, brethren, you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits.

That blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in.

What Paul is saying here in abbreviated terms is that the house called the church is given a

particular time to develop and after that, after it has developed to what is called fullness, then

Israel will be brought back to the forefront again. The church will be gone, out of the way

completely, and what is now referred to as the gospel will not be taught by the Gentiles

any more at all. It'll be taught by Israel. And so all Israel shall be

saved as is written there shall come out of Zion. The deliverer shall turn away the ungodliness

...
