faith with us, even as we see the day approaching. And now, here's Gary. Last week, we dealt with

what the Bible has to say about the phrase last days, the phrase

latter days, the phrase last generation.

We talked about Israel in prophecy, the dispersion of Israel, the re-gathering of Israel as a secular nation, the second dispersion of Israel

and the regathering in belief. We tried to get some sense of what Israel is going to be doing in

the last days. It's really much more complicated than is commonly thought. That is the scenario of Israel in the latter

days. And in the process of studying what we did last week, we studied Balaam. If you recall,

Balaam was a prophet for hire. And one of the things that Balaam did was he prophesied about

Israel in the tribulation.

Numbers 2414, he says, and now behold, I go unto my people, come therefore, and I will tell thee what

this people shall do to thy people in the latter days. The conflict of the latter days.

We quoted that in the context of the phrase latter days. And I thought

it would be good then to go back and look at the oracles of Balaam, because here's the fascinating

thing. This is recorded in the book of Numbers. Bamidbar is the Hebrew designation for this book,

and it means in the wilderness. Numbers records Bamidbar is the Hebrew designation for this book, and it means in the wilderness.

Numbers records the wilderness march of Israel, and it records the great difficulties they had

among their own people in terms of faith. It also chronicles their victories, sparse though they

were, and sometimes by the skin of their teeth,

but God arranged it so that Israel was victorious progressively as they moved toward the Holy Land.
