Revelation chapter 10 is where we're going to start.

Last week, we concluded on a note that I think is very important,

and it has to do with the rapture of the church.

We went through the seven trumpets,

although we have not really looked at the seventh trumpet yet. But there is a whole

contingent of people who feel that the seventh trumpet is the rapture of the church. And usually

this is taken from 1st Corinthians 15. The idea being that in 1 Corinthians 15, when Paul uses the term

last trump, he's referring to the seventh trumpet of Revelation. First Corinthians 1551,

behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment

and the twinkling of an eye,

at the last trump for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,

and we shall be changed.

And in 1st Thessalonians 416, as we noted last week, there is another trumpet there, and it's the same trumpet that's mentioned

by Paul. And in 1 Thessalonians 416, we learn that that is not a mechanical trumpet, but

it is a voice. And I think it's really very important to keep that in mind at all times,

because if you go to 1st Thessalonians 416, it says,

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel with the trump of God.

Now, that trump of God is not blown by an angel, whereas the seventh trumpet in Revelation is trumpeted by an angel using a mechanical trumpet,
