In this particular study, we're talking about the past 18 weeks.

It's been 18 weeks now that we've been discussing the ideas of dispensationalism, the

tribulation, the latter-day events that lead to the tribulation, and in particular the period

of years just prior to the tribulation to see what we could find in prophecy describing

that period. And we're always amazed to find and discover new connections. They've been there all along,

but we haven't looked at them so much in the past. Last week and the week before, we talked about

the pre-tribulation event of an invasion into

the Middle East that's going to destroy Damascus and Syria, is going to destroy Egypt, so that

neither Egypt nor Syria appears in the latter-day roster of nations that come against Israel, Isaiah 17 talks about the destruction

of Damascus prior to an invasion from the north. Ezekiel 29 talks about the destruction of Egypt

prior to an invasion from the north. We talked about those. We talked about the Ethiopian prophecy, the prophecy of Betta Israel, which is the return of the Ethiopian Jews to Israel, which began in the 80s and concluded by the mid-90s.

A few Ethiopian Jews are still coming back, but most of them who want to come back have come back to Israel.

Last week we talked about Israel's general regathering and the curse that God put upon

Edom, Ezekiel 35 and 36. And then we looked at the whole epistle of Obadiah last week.

Obadiah, the subject of that

is the doom of Edom. And we remarked at the time that Edom is Rome, it's very easy to trace

the rise and fall of Esau and the rise of the Idumeans and to discover exactly what the Jews are saying,

namely that Edom is Rome and Rome is Edom.
