Last week, we concluded with the parable of the woman and the three measures of meal in Matthew

1333.

Now the interesting thing about Matthew 1333 is that it sort of leads into a latter-day prophecy,

which we alluded to last week.

The woman, if you recall, with three measures of meal, is the figure of what the Bible calls

mystery Babylon the Great.

That is the corruption of the world's religious system.

In verse 34 of Matthew 13 says, all these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables and without a parable spake

he not unto them parabolic speech parabolic speech is metaphor it's symbol it's type it's allegory

it is round about speech given in such a way that only those people with ears to hear can actually

hear.

This is the strangest thing about Christianity.

I do believe.

Christianity exists in parabolic form. If you stop and think about it, we are each a parable.

Because if you tell somebody you're a Christian, someone who is not a Christian, you walk up to

them and say, I'm a Christian, I'm a believer in Jesus, however you introduce yourself,

they'll be filled with preconceptions of various kinds,

usually negative preconceptions. And so you will be strapped with the burden of attempting
