And now, here's Gary.

What we've been doing lately is following the words of Jesus in the days before he went

to his crucifixion and then in the days following his resurrection.

Last week we were in Luke 24 on the road to Amas.

And then when he appeared to his disciples and gave him the Great Commission in Luke 2444. He speaks directly to them

and he says, I'm putting in your hands the things that must be fulfilled. At that point in time,

he opened the eyes of their understanding, Luke 2445, that they might understand the scriptures.

He does all things at the appropriate time.

The one characteristic of the disciples is that their hearts were in the right place,

but they were not given perfect knowledge until it was time for them to have perfect knowledge.

So here, after Jesus has risen from the dead

and appeared to them and eaten fish and honeycomb with them, he opens their understanding.

Finally, it dawned on them that Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.

That became clear to him only after he was

resurrected, which shows you the way God deals with man. It's, as I've said, I don't know,

maybe 150 times, who knows, I'm not keeping count, but I'm impressed by the fact, and I keep

saying that the Lord will tell you what you need to know when you need to know it.

Enlightenment, illumination is given on a need to know basis in the kingdom of God, the way it operates.

As far as we know, we'll continue to operate that way.
