Christmas, it is an amazing thing.

What Christmas is, in my mind, is a miracle that involved two basic events.

Number one, God assumed human flesh.

Biggest thing in the history of the planet. Number two, God arranged things,

we're going to look at this today. God arranged things so that the politics of the globe

would be exactly correct in order to achieve the things that he set out to do prophetically.

All the right people had to be in the right political offices at the right time.

And all of the powerful people who surrounded Jesus had to be in the right place at the right time.

And that's a big part of the Christmas story.

Matthew chapter 1, verse 18.

We'll start by rereading the story of the birth of Christ,

which we read week before last.

Matthew 1.18, now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise. In other words, it happened this way.

When, as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with the child of the Holy Ghost.

There's the first mention of the virgin birth there. Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man, that is to say,

he was a man who considered things. He did not act out of emotion. He was a well-controlled,

moral man. Called in the King James a just man, not willing to make her a public example,

was minded to put her away privately.
