Last week, we took a little detour and we talked about the proof of the resurrection.

And of course the resurrection is, I think, a process.

It started 19 centuries ago.

It has been continuing.

The ultimate resurrection, of course, is going to be the day of the rapture of the church.

The catching away of the church is the general resurrection.

And it's really much bigger than it's usually made out to be.

In Romans, a couple of weeks ago, we studied the idea of adoption,

and I wanted to pick that up and move on from there.

In Romans 8.15, we have this,

for ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear,

but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry,

Abba, Father. Now, how to teach the word? It's always a

question. You can go in the direction of health, wealth, and prosperity, and everything is all right,

and we're blessed, and it's dandy, and boy, I mean we're living in the Lord, stepping out,

and it's all going to be wonderful and

that's fine but when you read the epistles of paul you run into things like this cry this heart's

cry we cry aba father kratsoman katsayan is the greek word for, and it means a heartfelt, passionate cry. You're not saying, Aba, Father. You're saying, Aba, father. You know, how long, O Lord? Have you ever found yourself in the middle of the night crying out to the father saying, how long, oh Lord. Well, this suggests the condition under which we live.
