Hello and welcome to the scriptures or real podcast.

This is the podcast where we talk about elements of the scriptures that help them become more real to us because we believe we can apply them to our lives better when they become real.

And that helps us draw more power out of them

and we need all the power we can get. I'm your host, Kerry Mealstein. And before I introduce my

my guest today, I thought maybe we'd just take care of a little bit of business as we're

really nearing the end of our first year as a podcast. I think we started about this time last year.

So this is about a year.

And I've had a lot of people asking, we are going to continue the podcast.

We'll be doing this in the New Testament year.

In fact, next week we'll have Andy Skinner, Andrew Skinner, as our guest,

who will take us through the transition that what we call

the intertestimental period, the period from the end of the Old Testament to the beginning of the

New Testament, which will help you understand the New Testament so much better. So be ready for that

next year, or next week to get us ready for next year. And then we'll continue on, but with maybe

some slight changes. This year, I didn't do

the podcast as much the way I'd originally conceived of it, because as we got going, it really

seemed like people were wanting a lot of help with understanding the Old Testament. So we were a

little more intense at some periods than

normal. Like Isaiah, we'd have up to seven episodes a week and so on. I don't anticipate doing that

again with New Testament. So often probably one episode and sometimes a short cast or something,

it will really depend on who has stories they want to share,

how many we'll do each week. So we'll do at least one each week, and sometimes maybe three or four
