I'm looking for the beast. According to the Prescott Korea of Arizona, in 1998, on the night of Halloween, a man called Larry Rivers was driving along

a dirt road in the desert when he came across a man walking out alone.

Mr. Rivers slowed his car down, and after opening his window, he asked the man,

What are you doing out here?

I'm looking for the beast, came the reply from the man on foot.

The man's name was David Stone, and he was

wearing just a t-shirt and shorts, despite it being winter. This would later be believed to be the

last time he was seen alive. Nearly a week later, he was officially reported missing,

although he would not actually be found until four years later. Former deputy

sheriff William Cavalieri said, it's just about the strangest thing that ever happened around

here. When David Stone was reported missing, the search ever to find him was massive. Plains

flew overhead. Teams of searchers covered and recovered the ground with bloodhounds. His tracks were found,

but it seemed they simply just stopped in the middle of nowhere. There was no sign of him. His

footprints just suddenly stopped. The missing man, David Stone, had been travelling on route

from San Diego to El Paso in Texas, where he was due to be best man at a friend's wedding.

But when he didn't arrive for the wedding, his father contacted all of the sheriff's offices

between San Diego and El Paso. None of them had received any reports about him, but the

sheriffs in New Mexico did subsequently locate his car abandoned on Route 80, approximately 15 miles south of Forks Road,

was parked at an odd angle. The search for him lasted almost two weeks until it was called off.

It would not be until four years later that three hunters stumbled across some bones in a granite outcrop in the desert,

about a mile from the highway. Ken Melberg, one of the hunters, said,
