President Donald Trump has made versions of that statement many, many times over the past month and a half.

So is there anything different here in this new

interview with Fox business? Well, there are reports that the U.S. and Iran have agreed in principle

to an extension of the two-week ceasefire to allow more time for negotiations. But a senior U.S.

official told CNN the U.S. has not formally agreed to an extension of the ceasefire.

We're not finished. We'll see what happens. I think they want to make a deal very badly.

Meanwhile, Iran's military has threatened to shut down shipping in the Red Sea, as well as in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, if the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports continues.

Some commercial traffic is still making it through the street, but experts say it's not nearly

enough to significantly lower oil prices or pain at the gas pump in the U.S.

Trump says he could still fire the Fed chair.

President Trump continues his threats to fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell if he does

not step aside when his term at the head of the central bank expires next month.

Some quick back story here. Trump's pick to replace Powell, Kevin Warsh, has not been confirmed by Congress yet.

And if that continues, Powell has said he would defend the Fed's independence and could stay on the job past May 15th when his term is supposed to end.

So you might be asking what's holding up that confirmation?
