become more successful, it's going to be harder and harder to find people to hang out with that are like quote unquote on the level.

ago. And one of the things that led to my retirement was some of the things we're going to be

talking about here today. Sometimes what happens is you're highly motivated about a new sport. and it starts to sort of take over your life.

It starts to become like almost everything to you in some ways. And for some people,

it does become everything. I didn't want to only power lift. I wanted to have other goals and

I wanted to do other things in life. It was always just something I did that was fun.

And at some point, it got to be more than just fun.

It got to be something that did help to build my character,

did help turn me into who I am to most other people.

But to my children, to my wife, and to many others, my brother, the lifting stuff

just, it just is something that I do. It's not what I am completely. The more that I got into

other things, as I was powerlifting, the less I wanted to still hang around power lifters. And the less I

still wanted to hang around people that only cared about being stronger. And even while I was

powerlifting, I didn't find that to be that exciting. Yes, I wanted to be a savage. Yes, I wanted to be

the best that I could be with powerlifting, but I also had these other goals. And what I was talking be a savage. Yes, I wanted to be the best that I could be with powerlifting,

but I also had these other goals. And what I was talking to a friend about recently is he said,

you know, the same things that excited me a year ago about the sport that I'm in don't excite me
