I think one of the biggest reasons why we fake it is because we're afraid the truth isn't enough.

Anyone who can't handle the truth about me isn't meant to carry anything for or with me.

You have to remember you cannot experience the fullness of the divine benefits of friendship

if your friends are not friends with the real you. The sickness of sin is strengthened in secret.

And masks are a wall we put up to hide the sin.

God most wants us to expose.

Welcome to the Leaders Cut. Especially if this is your first time joining us. Welcome to the conversation. The way we love to do this, this isn't just a monologue on my part. This isn't just you and me sitting down. This is you, me, and the God of the universe seated at the table, not just to catch up, but to connect, to be cut upon.

The reason we call it the leader's cut is because we as the people of God were always meant to be a people of the cut. This isn't a podcast

for leaders. The leader is the one we follow. His name is Jesus. And that sharp instrument

of heaven is the word of God, which cuts, it divides between bone and marrow.

And I believe, as the New Testament talks about, the circumcision of the heart, that God loves to cut on our flesh, to cut it off, to get it off, to make more room for His Holy Spirit to move in us and through us.

And today's episode, we're talking about something that I think a lot of us do without even realizing it.

We're talking about faking it by hiding behind masks.

So let's pray, let's invite the Holy Spirit into this conversation.

Let's open up our hearts to be honest about where we're at

so that if there are any masks that we are hiding behind,

that he would have access to it.

Holy Spirit, we just slow everything down.

And we ask you to speak so clearly to each one of us.

Speak clearly to me.

Point out any masks that I am wearing.
