Summary

What happens to your body during a 3-day fast? In this video, we’ll cover the fasting health benefits of both intermittent fasting and extended fasting for 72 hours or longer. I’ll also share some expert fasting tips for even more fasting benefits.

Did you know that insulin resistance is behind most chronic diseases, including many types of cancer? Frequent eating leads to insulin resistance, which blocks cells from getting fuel. Diets involving 5 to 6 small meals daily destroy the metabolism the most!

An intermittent fasting plan involving 18 hours of fasting with a 6-hour eating window can provide tremendous health benefits, such as weight loss in the midsection, improved mood, and decreased inflammation.

A 24 to 48-hour fast can significantly magnify the benefits of fasting. Extended fasting enables you to deplete the stored glycogen in your liver. You may also notice significant initial water weight loss.

During a 1 to 2-day fast, most of your fuel will come from ketones. Your microbes will thrive, and growth hormone will increase, boosting muscle growth and burning fat.Ketones will feed the neurons in the brain, so you may notice improved cognitive function.Extended fasting allows you to get into a state of autophagy, where your body removes damaged cells and proteins and creates new ones. Autophagy also allows you to build new brain cells.

A 3-day fast can produce even more benefits! Extended fasting for 72 hours can clean up intracellular pathogens, including Epstein-Barr and herpes viruses.

A 3-day fast can stimulate your immune system, protecting you against cancer and autoimmune diseases. You can achieve results similar to stem cell therapy for free!

If you’re unsure of how to fast and want to make the process as comfortable and beneficial as possible, try these fasting tips for the most fasting benefits:

•Coffee and tea are okay during a water fast

•Make sure you have enough sea salt

•Consume electrolytes like potassium and magnesium

Refeeding can have a negative impact after a 3-day fast. It’s best to rebuild your caloric intake slowly. Bone broth is a great option to break your fast.

What if you stopped eating for three days? We've been programmed to nourish our body to heal, right?

Before you buy into that, let me just turn your universe upside down for a minute and just hear me out.

There's one single problem behind all chronic disease, including cancer, and that is insulin resistance.

0:19.9

You don't get insulin resistance by not eating. You get

0:22.7

insulin resistance by eating too frequently. Too much insulin that leads to insulin resistance

0:26.9

blocks the cells from getting any fuel. When we overnourish our body by eating too frequently,

0:33.2

we create this insulin resistant situation. Every single person that has a slow metabolism,

0:39.0

they went on many diets. And the diets that destroy the metabolism the most,

0:43.4

where you're going to be eating five to six small meals a day. And so you get a snack before a

0:48.1

meal so you don't overeat because this crazy idea that too many calories equal weight gain. Actually, it's more of the frequency

0:56.5

of meals that creates insulin resistance that creates chronic disease that will make you very,

1:01.7

very overweight. But when we start to not eat so frequently and we start to do intermittent fasting,

1:07.6

things start turning around. Let's get into the benefits of intermittent fasting and

1:11.8

prolong fasting. If you were to eat right now, your insulin will go up. And because insulin is going to go

1:17.1

up, that higher insulin is going to prevent a lot of good things that are going to happen.

1:22.6

Let's say you're going to fast for 18 hours. And then you're going to eat at, let's say,

1:27.0

12 o'clock noon,

1:27.9

and then you'll eat at 6 o'clock. So that's a six hour eating window and then you have an

1:32.6

18 hour fasting window. A lot of benefits are going to happen if you do that. You're going to lose

1:37.0

weight in your midsection. You are going to feel better mentally. Your mood will come up.

1:42.7

And your inflammation will start going down as well. When you do

intermittent fasting, you're not really tapping in to all the stored sugar in your liver. Unless you
