I'm Vanity Fair's senior writer, Joanna Robinson.

And I'm Vanity Fair Chief Critic, Richard Lawson.

If you're just joining us, so the first time ever, I shall let you know this is not our

usual format.

What Richard and I usually do is pick a show, watch it week to week, discuss it, get really

in depth with it.

What we're doing here at the tail end of the summer before we wait for our next big

show to start is just hit a few highlights of things that are going on.

And I really, something I realize, Richard, is that there's a key element that's missing

and when we do these sort of highlight episodes, there's a key element of the whole process

that's missing for me.
