And in this episode, I'm talking with someone whose career as a musician eventually led him to a life in the restaurant business.

Steven Satterfield was raised in Savannah, Georgia, where he grew up as the only member of the family allowed in his grandmother's kitchen. But while he was interested in

cooking from a young age, it was only after a long run in the 90s dream pop band, Seeley, that he

realized his true calling was food. He went on to open a beloved restaurant in Atlanta called Miller Union,

where he developed a creative menu that led with vegetables and followed the seasons.

Now Miller Union is celebrating its 14th year.

Satterfield has garnered all sorts of recognition,

including a James Beard Award,

and he's just released his second cookbook,

Vegetable Revelations, Inspiration for Produce Forward Cooking.

We'll talk about all that and the time when Mick Jagger walked into his restaurant on Biscuits and Jam.
