I've wanted to have a conversation around a couple of

of Liverpool-related managers for a little of weeks and this is the forum

that I've chosen to do so on.

We're going to talk a little bit around Stephen Gerard

at the same villa, then a little bit more

on Brendan Rogers at Leicester

and a little bit of a different format to what we normally do on this show.

Let's start with Stephen Gerard though James. I think the obvious sort of question mark really for me

amid a little bit of pressure on his shoulders I think it's fair to say is

kind of what is the expectation at Aston Villa they've got loads of money and loads of

ambition but then sold a lot to other mid table clubs, it's a tricky one and I suppose there would have had to be that clarity on that before he took over the project.

So I'm sure Gerard knows better than most of the outside observers like ourselves in terms of what is expected of him.

I'm sure, like I mean he's mentioned the European places as a sort of long-term aim, but like you say there's plenty of

clubs who've mentioned the European spaces are long term.

The scale of investment at Aston Villa is probably higher. You know, it's they're one of the

the richest owners going these days in the Premier League.

You know, you've obviously got your Newcastle's and your Man Cities in a class above, but yeah,

a lot of investment has gone in at Aston Villa.
