I'm sitting here with Stephanie Whittles-Brox, author of Everything is Horrible and Wonderful,

a tragic comic memoir of genius, heroine love and loss.

It's about her brother, Harris Whittles, who was on my show years ago, who died of an overdose three years ago.

The book is so, I just finished it this morning.

It is so beautiful, so well written, so vivid.

At the beginning I kept crying and I was reading it after my son was already asleep.

I was like, I wanted to go get him up out of the crib to hold him.

I thought I don't know how I'm going to get through reading this book because I'm bursting into tears so frequently.

But then I got to, it was weird how it sort of shifts that I got to a point where I remember literally thinking,

I don't want this to ever end.

And I think it's because I got, it was like, oh, I just enjoy being in the presence of your thoughts.

Oh wow.

Maybe you're the first person that's ever said that out of me.
