Welcome to the From the Podium podcast. I'm Brock Dannehy. The Browns have completed the final practice of training camp from the cross-country mortgage campus. On today's podcast, you'll hear from defensive tackle Shelby Harris, running back Jerome Ford, and head coach Kevin Stifansky.

First up, defensive tackle Shelby Harris talks about how this defensive line room is the

deepest and most talented group he's been a part of in his career.

What's the state of things with you right now? Doing good. You know, great, you know,

great mindsets, great teammates, everybody.

You know, I just love the fact that everybody's so willing to help and even with all the young guys and everybody just, you know, it's one common goal.

You know, I think everybody knows how much of a let down last year at the end of the season was.

And so it's all about, you know, writing that wrong.

And I love the state of how

how much everybody works and everybody goes out there and you know we put all all out there

every day so we can get the best you know results when we get in the game.

Is this deepest line you've been on in your career?

Yeah you know I always said you know one of the all, you know, coming back to Cleveland was being able to play with these guys and this defense and to have Jim Schwartz be a coordinator. But then also, you know, when they went and brought Jocken, coach Jokken, it was, you know, to have just such a talented D-Lion coach and have a talented D-Lion, you know, it's only going to go up from here. and you saw what he did with the, you know, to have just such a talented D-Line coach and have a talented D-Line, you know,

it's only going to go up from here.

You saw what he did with the, you know, obviously Houston had some good players where he was at, but then he just helps elevate them. And that's all you want as a player is to have a coach that can come elevate you. How does that kind of change the tone in that room? Man, you know, we just, you know, we'd be joking on each other be having a good time but

you know it's loose and but then when we come out here we know it's time to work and I think

having that balance of being able to be loose and going to work is it's delicate and you have to

and it really you know uplifts everybody you know because we know we're going to have a good time

and then we all enjoy each other it's a great chemistry in the room and and, you know, it's only up from here. I don't think he's said that there's like another level still with Miles and he wants to kind of bring that out. Is that kind of a scary thought? Yeah, it's not scary for me. It's scary for the league. You know what I mean? And that's the thing. It's like, you know, Miles can be the best player, you know, in the world, you know, and like, ever.

You know what I mean?

So it's just a matter of, you know, tapping into that potential. But, you know, he's already, like, and that's crazy. You're talking about the former DPOI that has more levels to it. And so, you know, Miles is a special player, and, you know, it's a blessing to play next to him.
