Summary

In this week's storytime, Stafford doesn’t run on coal and water like the steam engines. Instead, he runs off a battery, which is very quiet. So when Stafford overhears some children saying he doesn’t sound like a proper engine, he asks Thomas and Percy to teach him how to make the same chuffing sounds they do. 0:25.9	He doesn't have a funnel or a dome or a whistle

0:35.7	So now you've met the hero of our story. Let's begin our journey. All aboard for a big
0:42.6	adventure. Steamy Stafford. Lots of the engines on Sodor are steam engines. They run on coal and water.
0:54.1	But because Stafford is an electric engine, he has an electric motor,
0:59.1	which makes a humming sound as he glides quietly along the tracks.
1:04.8	Stafford was on his way to the shunting yard to collect some timber.
1:10.5	He heard the chuffing and puffing of a steam engine.
1:13.6	Then Thomas appeared.
1:16.6	Hello, Thomas!
1:18.6	Hello, Stafford!
1:20.6	Thomas and Stafford headed towards Wellsworth Station.
1:24.6	Thomas chuffing and puffing on one track and Stafford humming along
1:29.9	on the other.
1:32.3	At Wellsworth Station, the bridge over the tracks was filled with excited children.
1:39.0	They were waiting to see Thomas and hear him chuff and puff as he steamed under the bridge.
1:46.0	Here comes Thomas!
1:48.1	Hello, Thomas!
