cleaning your house. Thanks for joining me. This is episode 82. I know it's been a while. We're all busy this time of year, but let's jump right in and get some housework done.

This episode is going to be about staying organized this time of year.

And, of course, if you're new to the show, this is a show where I talk you through cleaning your entire house, pretty much room by room, area by area.

So the first thing we're going to want to do is gear up for our cleaning session.

You might want to freshen up a little bit to make sure that you feel presentable, kind of ready to answer the door.

I like to be ready to leave the

house. And I don't mean necessarily always having my shoes on or whatever, but I like to be a few

minutes away from leaving the house. I like to have my keys in my key basket in the entryway,

maybe my purse sitting on the piano bench right there, some slip-on shoes and a sweater to put on, and I'll be good to go. So anyway, you might

want to get ready for the day if you haven't already done that depending on what day or what time of

day you're listening to this. So another way to gear up for your cleaning session would be to start

a load of laundry. And for those who put some laundry into the washing machine now, I'll remind

you at the end of the episode to switch that laundry from the washer into the dryer.

While you're doing that, I'll just talk about a lot of times when I straighten up my laundry

room, it is when I start the laundry or switch the laundry. I will look up at that shelf

and random items I've been sticking up there. I will put those where they go. I'll throw away

empty containers, piles of lint, whatever, pick up any clothes that should be in the hamper. I have a

hamper in there, but sometimes the kids miss the hamper. So I encourage you while you're starting in the laundry to just

kind of straighten up that area maybe you need to wipe down your washer and dryer sometimes

i keep cleaning wipes in there or just a rag and i will you know and some cleaner and i will

clean the tops of those while I'm in there.
