Venezuela. The tragedy of Venezuela is evident in the chronology. A man named Maduro took over from a man named Chavez

many years ago

and has ruled as an illegitimate president

of the country

for some time now.

So nothing changed the direction

of the illegitimate vote last summer

than for Nicholas Maduro

to inaugurate himself in Caracas.

In the meantime, the elected president, a man named Gonzales Arete,

wanders the Americas being greeted by Washington and Buenos Aires and other capitals of freedom.

Everybody knowing that what is going on in Venezuela is a rogue state inviting the

adversaries of the United States that would be Russia, Iran, China, and North Korea,

into working with Venezuela in order to intimidate and undermine the credibility of governments

around. That's how sinister this is. Venezuela is actively working to undermine not only its

own neighborhood, but the United States. Hence the stories about transnational gangs in the U.S. are related to Caracas.

What is to be done is the question for the new Trump administration.

However, I'm joined now by Mary Kissel, Executive Vice President of Stevens, Inc.

and former senior advisor to the Secretary of State, because Mary has a memory

of what the Trump administration achieved in 2021 when it left office in Venezuela, an achievement

that was, to my knowledge, not advanced even slightly by the Biden administration these many years,
