Operation Prosperity Guardian,

announced in these last hours by the Secretary of Defense Mr. Austin

and his colleagues, his allies throughout the Mediterranean Basin.

The question at hand is Red Sea shipping.

Right now, the large container firms mentioning Meers and and the BP oil tankers are avoiding entirely

the Red Sea, meaning the Suez Canal, taking the long way around Africa to reach the endopacific or the Atlantic, that is cost

and constriction.

I note the price of oil, Brent Crude is the standard in Europe, has moved from approximately 73, 74 to 78,

headed up because what we're looking at is 10% of the world's oil shipped through the Red

Sea and the Suez Canal, at least that was true.

Operation Prosperity Guardian reports the FT would be formed as part of a 39-member combined maritime forces, an existing task force with 153 focusing

on the Red Sea.

The expansion comes at the same time other elements of the US military are

consulting with Israel because the Red Sea threat by the huthies of Yemen and now by the Somali pirates comes with the additional

information that the Huthies will continue to fire missiles and drones at

commercial shipping and the US Navy and the French Navy and the British Navy

until and if Gaza is resolved in the Huthy fashion. The Huthies are a tribe around a man named huthi. They've taken

over Yemen a nation of 26 million. They occupy the capital, Sana. They have no

challenge. They're said to be an adjunct of Tehran.
