Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Roberts. And as always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. I hope you're wearing maroon today. It's a big weekend for Bulldog baseball. We're going to break that down and kind of preview the LSU Tigers and kind of look around the league and see what to expect. Kind of a wild night on Thursday night in college baseball.

Matter of fact, I just finished watching Texas A&M walk it off against Kentucky.

Pretty well pitched ball game there.

But, you know, hey, it is what it is.

And this time of year, pitching means everything, right?

Hopefully we get some good pitching this weekend. But also

went out to practice on Thursday. I'll have a review of kind of some things that we saw there and

kind of break down some injury situation too. Nothing long term, obviously, but a lot of guys that

we're going to be expecting some snaps from this year not participating

fully in spring practice so we'll break that down a little bit and kind of let you know

who's where who's not participating all that good stuff many of you know these things if you're

a subscriber to jeans page paul jones is a really good job of kind of keeping you guys abreast

of the latest depth charts guys abreast of the

latest depth charts and that sort of stuff. And a lot of that stuff too, you know, this time of year

because it is spring football, that is subject to change in a major way. You know, this time last year,

Mackay Polk and Jalen Green and transfers came in, Randy Charlton.

Those guys ran second team throughout spring, even though we know they started several games for us last year.

Jamir Calvin, another one that joined the squad a little bit later.

But the guys that were there in the spring did not run first team.

And you and I both know Mackay Polk was Mississippi State's most productive receiver last year.

So if you see a newcomer running second team, don't read an awful lot into that just yet.
