Richard Fain is the chairman of Royal Caribbean Group and led the company as chairman and CEO from

1988 to 2022. And during that time, he transformed Royal Caribbean from a small cruise line into one of

the world's most valuable vacation brands. He's now sharing his journey in his new book,

delivering the wow out October 21st. Richard, welcome,

my friend. Well, Doug, thank you very much, and it's really a privilege to be on your podcast.

I've always enjoyed what you do. Everyone has a different reason for wanting to write a book,

whether it be legacy, leadership, marketing, just because they wanted to. What was the thought behind delivering the

wow? You know, that's a good question because I really didn't originally intend to do so,

but when I look back on the culture and I see the people, and I really felt that it was something

special. Every company talks about it's culture, but culture at the Royal Caribbean Group is just amazing.

And there were a few things that helped drive that over the years.

And I thought people would enjoy hearing about that.
