I want to say, good morning, 1122.

How are you guys feeling this morning?

All right.

Love it, love it.

Hey, just want you guys to know, no matter where you are, different campuses, even here,

if you push through the rain, there's

special reward for you in heaven. Amen? So I want to thank you guys for showing up. It also makes

you all Baptist, by the way, because I see many of you are soaked because you got dunked.

But I'm glad to be here. Thank you, Pastor Joby, for the invitation and opportunity. And I'm very excited about this journey that 1122 is going to take for the year of 2022.

To talk about worship is amazing because worship is what it's all about, right?

Worship is what we do when we prepare our hearts to encounter a mighty God.

Interestingly enough, even in the Old Testament, worship was rarely about consumerism or thoughts about what we would get.

I mean, and the Old Testament, think about it this way.

They went and they would make sacrifices and render to God services.

And nobody left the service saying, I really love the way

that priest slayed that lamb this morning. No, why? Because it was all about the glory of God.

It was all about God and his glory and his character. But this morning, I want to talk about an

aspect of worship where God does minister to you. An aspect of worship where God does condescend from his transcendence and ministers to us

in one of the most tangible ways.

If you allow me this morning, I want to talk about prayer.

And specifically, I want to talk about the model prayer from Matthew chapter 6.
