Yoga Land podcast. So today my very special guest is Stacy Myruowitz.

Stacy has a dramatic but uplifting story to tell and somehow she manages to tell it with a sense of humor.

Back in 1999 Stacy was a typical 32 year old just having a great time living her life in Manhattan. But that life changed

when a genetic defect caused a massive brain hemorrhage in the middle of one night.

Although her prognosis was good and doctors expected Stacy to recover, she had to go

through a lot of trauma to get there. But fortunately in the process of her

recovery, Stacy discovered yoga and she feels like yoga is really what

brought her back to life. She credits it with bringing her out of a depression and with helping her

cognitively heal her brain. I love this story and I know you will too so let's just

When did the injury actually happen?

The injury and it's funny because it's not even really technically an injury

and I've never really known exactly what to call it. I mean it really doesn't matter ultimately, but it's more like a heart attack or a stroke where you wouldn't call those an injury. Is it an incident, is it, you know, I don't know, it's just whatever.

But the brain hemorrhage, which is what I had, was caused by something I was born with, which I did not know.
