On July 6th, 2012, a young girl was last seen with people who, she thought, were her BFFs.

So if you like your coffee hot, but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning

cup of murder. Skyler Annette Nees, born February 10, 1996, came home on July 5th, 2012, after her shift at a local Wendy's, and settled in for what her parents thought was the rest of the night.

However, at around 12.30 a.m., now July 6th, the Star City West Virginia apartment complex surveillance tapes showed Skyler exit

through her bedroom window and hop into a sedan carrying friends Rachel Schof and Sheila

Eddie. Leaving behind her cell phone charger, window still open, there was every indication that

Skyler intended on spending a few hours with her friends

and then sneaking back home with no one inside the wiser. However, this was not the case. When morning

came and her room remained empty, Skyler was reported missing with the local authorities, who,

believing the 16-year-old was a runaway, refused to issue an Amber Alert.

While Tips came into the station, with one claiming to have seen the teen in North Carolina, later determined to be false by authorities,

Skyler's parents peppered the area with flyers about their missing daughter, and the

surveillance tape from that night was sent in for review. That's when police saw that sedan,

and traced it back to Sheila Eddie. When interviewed, Sheila admitted to picking up Skyler that

evening, but said that she dropped her off about an hour later.
