Tim Burton. It stars Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton. The movie did not

soar on its floppy ears at the box office this weekend so we will talk about

Disney and also about the new

fad for live action remakes of Disney movies which we're in for a lot more of.

Then the French filmmaker Anjes Varda passed away at age 90 this weekend.

She made movies over the course of an incredible six-decade-long career

from the first days of the French New Wave

in the early 60s, up until earlier this year

when her last documentary came out. We'll discuss her life and her work.

And finally, we will discuss the recent curfuffle on Twitter about St. Louis-style sliced

bagels and why we're so obsessed in general with fighting inanely about what we should and shouldn't do with our food.
