wrote this book in response to a simple, though challenging question. When a loved one suffers,

what can you do? When faced with comforting hurting people, many of us ask, what should I say?

What can I do? We often feel ill-equipped to handle weighty problems.

But as Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 1, 3 through 4, God is the Father of Mercies and God of all comfort,

who comforts us in all our affliction. And why does he comfort us? Paul continues, so that we may be able to comfort

those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Saint Corona. She was martyred as a teenager 1800 years ago. Her relics have been preserved in

Germany since AD 997. Her shrine is being prepared for display once the pandemic has passed.

Other strange news is much less inspiring.

A New Jersey man has been charged with harassment and making terrorist threats,

after he allegedly purposely coughed on a person and said he had coronavirus.

A man in Belton, Missouri, allegedly planned to car bomb a hospital struggling with the pandemic,

and a traveler told reporters he was the only passenger on his southwest flight from Dallas to
