Many Orthodox and converts are confused over the position of St Augustine and original sin when it comes to Orthodoxy. This video will feature open forum Q n A from twitter space as well. In this video I hope to help clarify some points of departure and nuance that will help to contrast the various positions, including where Augustine differs from Calvin, Luther and Eastern theology. We will review the chart concerning genesis, kinesis and stasis comparing St Augustine to Origen and St Maximos, as well. While I am not an Augustinian scholar, I do have a unique insight into this because my route out of Calvinism in my 20s was through reading copious amounts of St Augustine.
