It's great to be with you, Chris, as always.

We're going to continue our discussion on the lifetimes and teachings of an remarkable man, St. Anselm.

Yes, as we discussed in part one of our discussions.

Here was somebody who grew up in northern Italy, and was then the kingdom of Burgundy,

who made his way to northern France, entered the

Benedictines, flourished as a Benedictine, and then of course became an abbot. And where we left

off, Anselm, having business to conduct as an abbot in England found himself named the Archbishop of Canterbury

in a time of great political upheaval, a time of great struggle between the church and the crown

in England, and as well, a time of great intellectual vivacity for the church.

And Anselm would certainly leave his mark on both.
