Summary
First came rumors of an entity named "Steel Jack," who assaulted people (primarily women) in the dark of night. Over time, though, the rumors began to evolve, with the shadowy figure assaulting men and women alike throughout all of England, and engaging in physical feats deemed inhuman.
Decades later, the myth of "Spring-Heeled Jack" continued to live on, with the entity making appearances at-random. Skeptics remain assured that this bogeyman was a total fabrication, while others theorize that the rumors evolved from a place of truth...
