0:28.8	The big overall takeaway from this year's NFL draft is how offensive players dominated many of the
0:37.2	team's selections and how that side of the ball
0:40.3	was their main focus.
0:42.3	We know the league continues to place a huge emphasis on offense, and so does college football.
0:48.4	So it's not surprising how this year's draft was all about offense.
0:52.8	But here's a breakdown.
0:55.7	Six quarterbacks were selected in the top 12 picks. 55 offensive linemen heard their name called throughout the seven rounds.
1:02.1	14 offensive players were selected in a row to start the first round before the first
1:07.8	defensive player was taken. Out of the 32 picks in the first round,
1:11.9	23 were offensive players beating the record of 19.
1:16.3	Across the league,
1:17.5	teams left the draft feeling encouraged
1:19.9	about their new offensive weapons and additions to their offensive line.
1:23.9	While it makes sense that teams spent so much draft capital
1:26.5	on improving their offenses,
1:28.5	it still begs the question, what about the defense?
1:32.1	Are teams not valuing the need to stop the ball as much as they used to?
1:36.9	Why aren't they investing more in their defense?
