One of my favorite conversations to have is previewing our new Sports Spectrum magazine.

And this time of year, as we head into the fall of 2023, this is always, I wouldn't say always, but for the most part, probably my favorite issue, being a huge football fan

and knowing that our football preview always has great stories, wonderful features, and

access to some of these athletes and people in the world of football that you love. And today is no different. Got to welcome in our managing editor, John Ackerman, from Sports Spectrum to walk us through a little bit of the magazine. Hi, John. Hello, buddy. How are you doing? You doing all right? I'm doing good.

It's always a whirlwind the last couple weeks as you get this magazine finished.

But this is a magazine that actually started back.

I mean, we start talking about things like this before the NFL season is even over the year before.

I mean, you and I are always chatting about whom.

I wonder who'd be on the cover for the fall 2023 issue.

And one of the names that came up was Brock Purdy, who is featured in this magazine.

We'll talk about the Brock story in a second.

But we are both part of pro athletes outreach.

We were at a conference in February in California.

And Kirk Cousins was at this conference.

And I don't think we had plans at that time necessarily to feature Kirk in the magazine,

but certainly we'd love to talk to Kirk.

And we had our podcast area set up and our interview area set up at the conference.

And Kirk happened to walk by our set while we were just hanging out in there.

I'm pretty sure you were in there too.
