Hi, everyone back again for another edition of the sports information podcast.

Here on LSU Plus, I'm Count Lowell along with Michael Bonnet and Bill Frank is

and believe it or not we're going to have a guest in the second half of this show. I know that's

going to just keep you waiting to see who that person might be.

Even I'm trying to figure out who that person is, and hopefully we'll find out about 15

minutes from now here on the show.

So Michael, back to football this weekend after an off date, back to Tiger Stadium.

For South Carolina, it's the I won't call it crunch time but it's the start of the very important part of SEC football yeah the

schedule actually sets up really nice from a from you know, we play three games, have another open date,

and then you finish out the slate. So, what, six of our last seven games or conference games?

And yeah, it's going to be tough. You know, South Carolina is obviously a very good football team.

Lenore Sellers, as you recall, put on a clinic last year against us, so we'll have our hands full with that.

But, you know, there are a lot of really big opponents, including South Carolina, coming our way here over the next month and a half.

Bill, as far as the series goes, there have been a number of games since South Carolina joined the league,

but I guess one of the more memorable ones was when LSU at the last minute had to host the Gamecocks

because of some flooding issues, I believe it was, in the Columbia area.

And I believe that turned out to be Coach Spurrier's last game that he coached at South Carolina.

That was in 2015. LSC was scheduled to play in Columbia, but as you said, there was a severe storm and severe flooding in Columbia.

So LSU and South Carolina officials determined we should play the game in Baton Rouge.

It was still a South Carolina home game.

Right.

Michael may remember a little more than I, but I remember, as I recall, I think our band played the South Carolina fight songs and things of that nature. So we tried to make it as neutral as possible. And, of course, we didn't have a sellout crowd because fans weren't expecting to be in Tiger Stadium that weekend. But it was a good crowd. It was played during the day. Yeah, I think, 2.30. Mid-October. And LSU really dominated the game. I do remember that. And,
