Bleaped is a new podcast about people who have fought back.

In each episode, host Matthew Billy explores a time someone was censored and examines what

they did to resist.

The first episode takes place in Riviera Beach, Florida, where the city tried to use eminent

domain to evict over 5,000 people.

When one man named Fane Lossman spoke out against the evictions, the city tried to keep

him quiet.

Beach was home.

And all the other tenants, they were just people like us.

We were struggling to make the place nicer from the ground up.

But when they tried to actually make the place nicer, the city council wasn't happy.

They wouldn't even give out permits for people to fix things up or add a driveway.

That was the beginning of it becoming a blighted neighborhood.
