Summary

On the Spoiler Special podcast, Slate critics discuss movies, the occasional TV show, and, once in a blue moon, another podcast, in full spoiler-filled detail. This week Slate staff writer Karen Han is joined by Slate’s senior editor Sam Adams to spoil Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the new four hour artistic cut to its original counterpart. When Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) to face a greater threat than ever before, they have to work quickly to recruit a team to stand against their new enemy. Can the world be saved by this unprecedented league of heroes? Or is it too late? Note: As the title indicates, this podcast contains spoilers galore. Email us at spoilers@slate.com. the Snyder Cut. And I thought we should probably start by saying what we thought of the

1:28.5

theatrical just we didn't release of his Justice League if we remember much of it at all.

1:34.3

I had to sort of like I have no rewatch both versions of it in the last week, which kind

1:39.7

of wow. I had to like get back attached with my feelings about the original Justice League,

1:43.8

which were basically none. Yeah. I mean, it seemed like a bad movie. It was weird to me

1:48.8

that it was considered so like hated and like such a failure because it was not any worse

1:54.4

to me than like suicide squad or any number of like the line whereby like, you know,

1:59.9

this is like when people hated Age of Ultron and I'm like, okay, I think it was great.

2:03.4

But I was like the line where like that movie is lousy and like the first Avengers movie

2:08.0

is amazing. Like I don't I don't find that to like just like just just it was bad, but

2:12.8

it didn't seem like categorically worse than a lot of other lousy recent comic movies

2:18.1

that I've seen. Yeah. I really didn't remember much of Joss Whedon's Justice League, but all

2:24.8

I remember is thinking that I couldn't really make sense of a lot of what was going on
