and never once saw each other.

Like, how do they not see each other?

I was watching Overboard recently with a friend. Oh my God, I love that movie. So much. Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, classic film, Overboard. I was watching Overboard, and now I am a fully grown adult woman,

and it is bonkers to me that that movie was made, first of all, it was greenlit,

that that idea was okay, right? Like many, many people were like, yeah, he should totally kidnap this woman and keeper is his slave. Spoililers for overboard. Recently remade. Comedic gold. And don't get me wrong. It's still great. Yeah. It's a great movie. I stand by it. But I was like, what are what did we watch as children and how did that shape who I became? Like, suddenly I was like, you know what? Sometimes you have to kidnap people. But then you fall in love and it's fine. It's fine. It turns out fine, you guys. Stockholm syndrome is okay in a romantic comedy. I think about like my reaction to Woody Allen and Sunyi where I was like, it's fine, you guys. They got married. It worked out just fine. And I'm like, what was wrong with me? Why do I think that's okay? And I kind of trace it back to overboard. So we decided we were going to pick up a pair of mics and we're going to look at some of the pop culture, movies, television. Yes, music videos, maybe. Music videos, sure, from our youth. And we're just going to look at it.
