aren't just everyday responsibilities. They're a divine design meant to reflect the character of God.

Well, tonight, teaching Ephesians 6, you know, we're getting close to the end of Ephesians.

This is the last chapter.

And we're in that passage that tells the kids to obey their parents.

And if I'm perfectly honest, it's probably the least excited I was of all the passages and Ephesians

to teach. Because in my mind, I'm thinking, I'm not going to teach you how to be a parent in 40 minutes.

And my wife and I are already doing some parenting classes because there's so many specifics and everything

else. And usually when I hear this passage talked about, it is just about parenting and how to

raise happy kids, how to have a happy family, how to raise successful kids, how to raise Christian

kids, you know, whatever it is, it's about that.

And yet when I look at the passage and really stare at it,

and I look at it in the context of everything we've studied in the book of Ephesians,

I'm realizing, yeah, it's about parenting, but it's really not.

There's something so much bigger going on.

Because some of you are thinking, well, I'm single.

I really don't need this.

Let me just say a couple things.
