Muhammad Al-Safin from AJ Plus, I wish it was to talk about something different, but we are once again here, obviously, to talk about Gaza.

So, Muhammad, first of all, thank you again for being generous with your time and coming on the show.

There's a lot to talk about here in terms of updates on what's been happening,

but I want to start with something that just happened in the last day or so,

the killing, the targeted killing of Al Jazeera journalist Anas Sharif,

along with a number of other Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza City.

Tell us a little bit about Anas and what we know in terms of

the intentional targeting here and then the manufacturing of this claim that he was,

you know, only moonlighting as a journalist and really his day job was, you know, as a Hamas commander,

some absurd framing, whatever absurd framing the Israelis came up with, just give people sort of the,

some of the background to what happened.

Yeah, and, and, you know, I am so angry.

I'm so angry that we saw this coming, that we knew this was going to happen.

I'm angry that Ennis knew this was going to happen and asked the world to protect him.

And I'm angry that he knew that knowing that they wouldn't, and that he was on

a tarquilist and he was to be killed. Ennis was only 28 years old. He was Al Jazeera Arabic's

Gaza City, Northern Gaza correspondent.

When this war and this genocide began, he was just 26.

And the reason he became our correspondent on the ground there is because

the senior correspondent had been heading that office for decades,
