Good evening. It is Wednesday evening. I'm Rabbi F. and Goldberg with a special edition of

Behind the Bima. I had the incredible privilege of being in Israel recently and sitting down

with Ravitsklau. It's an extraordinary individual. And you know, it's very much in our minds right now, this spike, this rise of anti-Semitism,

not only around the world and not only even in the United States of America,

which for a long time we were lulled into the false belief that we were protected and immune.

We've seen people be beaten in the streets.

We've seen famous people. And most recently, Kyrie Irving, NBA stars, rappers who are unabashedly and with

no shame promoting, tweeting, tweeting, defending, doubling down on anti-Semitic statements

and rhetoric. And it's against that backdrop that we have to continue to raise our voice and

confront and battle it, but also how refreshing it is to have conversations like the one I was privileged to have with her Berkowitz, a beacon of light and a call and a charge to improve the world with a message of hope, a message of light, a message of blessing, the Jewish responsibility to transform the

world for the good. And as much as we have to focus on what's going wrong in the sense of the

anti-Semitism, we have to focus on what could be going right, caring about our brothers and

sisters around the world and feeling that responsibility for outreach. And in many ways,

that is our response to be that bright light and to become a people and live such a lifestyle that others are just attracted and drawn who will dismiss and who will stand up and confront those voices of anti-Semitism.

Robertawitz is American-born, enormous Tamukhachim. He's a huge postache. He's a big halakhic deciscer for the Anglo-Jewish community in Israel and around the world.
