People will remember him from his days of the Boise State coach and as the Washington coach.

from my first head coaching gig at the, with the

UC Davis, J.V. Aggie team?

That's where I thought most of my notoriety came from.

Well, it's actually... most of my notoriety came from.

Well, it's actually from that, all that time he's been at Pitt.

What I didn't realize was I have on just a regular Pitt

T-shirt and you lit up when you saw it because there was one year that you were a Pitt Panther

offensive coordinator.

Oh, I won the offensive coordinator.

I was a quarterback coach.

Yeah, oh my gosh, when we go back to the UC Davis days and then I left there to go to Pitt,

why I light up in those situations,

because I think those might have been some of my days where I probably learned the most about coaching.

I think I've learned, I've always learned.
