and in response to events there.

So let us begin by meeting Gabriel Gatehouse and Vitaly Shuchenko, store warts of Ukraine

cast.

For those people who do not yet subscribe to Ukraine cast, tell us a little bit about

yourselves and what you do.

I'm Vitaly Shuchenko, I'm a Russia editor at BBC Monitoring but I'm from Eastern Ukraine.

And I'm Gabriel Gatehouse, I am a BBC Foreign Correspondent for many years, I've been

based all around the world and now International Editor for a programme called News Night, but really

my background and my heart is in Russia and Ukraine, I've spent many years looking at

that part of the world.

Well we asked Global News pod listeners for their questions about what's going on and they

sent in a great many of them, so let us press on.

Events are continuing to move very fast in Ukraine as we record this podcast, it's day 13

of the Russian invasion, we spent nearly two weeks watching extraordinary images of

devastation being rained down upon Ukrainian cities, hearing the voices of those affected

and seeing an exodus of more than two million people so far, desperately trying to escape

towards the West.
