I'm Vitaly Shuchenko, I'm a Russia editor at BBC Monitoring but I'm from Eastern Ukraine.

And I'm Gabriel Gatehouse, I am a BBC Foreign Correspondent for many years, I've been

based all around the world and now International Editor for a programme called News Night, but really

my background and my heart is in Russia and Ukraine, I've spent many years looking at

Events are continuing to move very fast in Ukraine as we record this podcast, it's day 13

of the Russian invasion, we spent nearly two weeks watching extraordinary images of

devastation being rained down upon Ukrainian cities, hearing the voices of those affected

and seeing an exodus of more than two million people so far, desperately trying to escape
